Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Amigify apps, the Amigify Companion app and amigify.com. Please read them before you join the waitlist or create an account.

Amigify is not a medical or mental-health service, and is for adults 18+. Companions are trained listeners, not licensed therapists, psychiatrists, counsellors or medical professionals of any kind. Nothing on Amigify is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line — see our safety page.

1. Who we are

Amigify is operated by Asyncsphere (“Amigify”, “we”, “us”), registered at:

By creating an account, joining the waitlist or otherwise using our services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services. If you work on Amigify as a companion, the companion agreement applies to you as well.

2. Eligibility — 18+

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Amigify, as a user or as a companion. We ask for your date of birth when you set up your profile, and companions are age-verified during onboarding.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. An account we find to belong to a minor is closed and its data deleted, and you can report a suspected underage account to safety@amigify.com.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials confidential.
  • You may not use Amigify if you have previously been removed from the platform for a breach of these terms.

3. What Amigify provides

Amigify connects users with companions for conversation by text, voice or video. Companions are independent people who choose their own hours; they are verified before onboarding but they are not our employees, and we do not guarantee that any specific companion will be available.

The 24-hour messaging window. A conversation is open for a companion to reply for 24 hours after the user's most recent message, and every new message from the user starts that window again. If it lapses, the companion cannot send into the conversation until the user writes again. Users are never restricted in this way and may message at any time.

Calls happen only by mutual agreement. Video calling is off in a conversation until the companion enables it for that conversation; audio calling is unaffected. Whichever kind is started, the other person sees what it is before answering, and either side may decline it, refuse video, or end the call at any time without giving a reason. Nobody is required to turn a camera on.

We do our best to keep the service running but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where possible.

4. Amigo Coins, hearts and payment

  • Amigo Coins are prepaid in-app credit. They are charged per message you send and per started minute of an audio or video call, at the rates shown in the app. The pricing page sets out how this works.
  • Hearts are a separate, optional gift you buy and can send a companion during a conversation. Sending a heart is voluntary and non-refundable, and no companion may ask you for one.
  • Coins and hearts have no cash value outside the app, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money by users. Companions redeem their own balances under the payout policy.
  • There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews. Every payment is a one-off purchase you initiate.
  • Purchases are processed by our payment provider Razorpay, or by Apple or Google where an app store requires its own billing, and are subject to their terms as well as our refund policy.
  • We may change rates and prices. A change is never applied retrospectively to coins you have already bought or calls already billed.
  • Unused balances may expire if an account is inactive for 24 months. We will email you before that happens.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Amigify to:

  • harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone, including companions;
  • request or send sexual content involving minors, non-consensual sexual content, or content that is illegal in your jurisdiction;
  • solicit a companion off-platform, request their personal contact details, or attempt to identify them;
  • record, screenshot or redistribute a conversation without the other person's consent;
  • impersonate anyone, misrepresent your age, or operate more than one account to evade a suspension;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, overload or interfere with the service or its infrastructure, including automated signup attempts.

6. Companions

Companions accept the companion agreement, which covers verification, conduct, earnings and payouts, and which is published in full alongside the companion guidelines and the payout policy. Companions set their own availability, are responsible for their own taxes, and may decline or end any conversation. Earnings from conversations and from redeemed hearts are paid out on the schedule described in the payout policy.

7. Moderation, suspension and reporting

Every message and image is screened automatically — by algorithm and by an AI moderation model — as it is sent, and either party in a conversation can block or report the other at any time. Blocking is immediate and needs no reason. Filing a report attaches a snapshot of the last 20 messages in that conversation, which our moderation team reviews for the purpose of the report and nothing else. Depending on severity we may warn, block a message, apply a strike, suspend an account or remove it permanently, and we may act immediately where there is a risk to someone's safety. 8. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in either app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; unspent coins and hearts are forfeited. See delete your account for what is removed and what we are obliged to keep.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you write or send. You grant us a limited licence to store, transmit and process it solely to operate the service — deliver the message, sync your devices, and review it if it is reported. We do not use your conversations to train models or for advertising.

10. Intellectual property

The Amigify name, logo, apps and website are owned by Asyncsphere. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without our written permission.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that conversations will produce any particular outcome, or that a companion will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Amigify after that date means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Karbi Anglong, Assam, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
