You are not a therapist on Amigify, and must never present yourself as one. Companions are trained listeners. Diagnosing, treating, advising on medication, or implying you are a licensed clinician is a breach of this agreement and ends the relationship immediately.
1. Who this is between
Amigify is operated by Asyncsphere (“Amigify”, “we”, “us”), registered at:
Village: Kangnek Tokbi, Baghpani
Town: Dokmoka
District: Karbi Anglong
State: Assam
PIN: 782441
Country: India
“You” means the person approved to take conversations on the Amigify Companion app. This agreement applies from the moment your application is approved, alongside our terms of service, privacy policy, companion guidelines and payout policy, all of which form part of it.
2. You are independent, not employed
You are an independent contractor. Nothing here creates employment, a partnership or an agency relationship. In practice that means:
- You set your own hours. There is no minimum, no shift roster and no penalty for being offline.
- You choose which conversations to take, and you may decline or end any conversation at any time.
- You are responsible for your own equipment, connection, insurance where relevant, and your own taxes.
- You may not subcontract. The person verified during onboarding must be the person in every conversation.
3. Eligibility and verification
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must complete identity verification and age verification before your first conversation, and provide accurate information throughout.
- You must complete onboarding, including the safety and escalation material.
- You must hold one companion account only. Operating a second account, or returning after removal, ends the relationship permanently.
- You must be legally permitted to provide these services and to receive payment where you live.
4. What the role is — and is not
You provide conversation, attention and emotional support by text, voice and video. You are not providing therapy, counselling, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice or crisis intervention. If a user needs any of those, your job is to say so plainly and point them to the resources on our safety page.
Calls are always by mutual agreement. Video calling is off in every conversation until you turn it on for that conversation, so a user cannot start one with you unprompted; audio calls are unaffected. A call rings and can be declined without a reason. You are never required to accept a call, to turn your camera on, or to stay on one that has become uncomfortable. Ending a call is not a performance failure and is not held against you.
The 24-hour messaging window. You may reply in a conversation for 24 hours after the user's most recent message, and each new message from them restarts it. Once the window lapses you cannot message into that conversation until the user writes again — so a quiet thread is not something you can or should chase.
5. Conduct
The full standard is in the companion guidelines. In summary, you agree to:
- Keep every conversation inside Amigify. Do not share or request phone numbers, social handles, or off-platform payment details.
- Never solicit. Do not ask a user for hearts, gifts, tips or money, and never suggest a payment outside the app.
- Never produce sexual content involving minors, and never engage with sexual content directed at a minor. This is reported to the authorities and is an immediate permanent ban.
- Do not pressure anyone into sexual conversation, and do not send sexual content to someone who has not asked for it.
- Keep what you hear private. Do not record, screenshot, transcribe or repost a conversation, and do not discuss an identifiable user anywhere outside a moderation report.
- Escalate crises. If someone describes intent to harm themselves or another person, share the crisis resources and flag the conversation through the in-app report so our team sees it.
- Be who you say you are. A working nickname is fine; impersonating a real person, another companion or Amigify staff is not.
6. Earnings
You earn into two balances, both visible in the Companion app:
- Coin earnings — credited from the conversations and calls you take, at the per-message and per-minute companion rates published in the app.
- Hearts — credited when a user chooses to send you one. Hearts are a gift from the user, never something you may ask for.
Both balances are redeemed for INR and paid to your registered bank account. Rates, minimums, cycle timing and the redemption mechanics are set out in the payout policy and shown live in the Companion app. We may change rates, and will announce a change in the app before it takes effect; a change never applies to earnings already credited.
You are responsible for declaring and paying tax on what you earn. We may withhold or report amounts where the law requires it, and may ask for tax details before releasing a payout. Bank transfer and receiving charges, including intermediary bank fees on an international payment, are deducted from the payout by the banks involved.
7. Moderation, suspension and appeals
Conversations are subject to automated safety screening and to human review when reported — the same on your side as on the user's. Our community guidelines describe the process and the range of outcomes: a warning, a blocked message, a strike, a temporary suspension or permanent removal.
We may suspend your account while an investigation is open, and we may withhold a payout that is credibly connected to fraud, chargebacks or serious misconduct until it is resolved. Earnings that are not in dispute are still paid. You can appeal any decision by emailing appeals@amigify.com within 30 days, and a different reviewer will look at it.
8. Your safety
You can block and report a user with one tap, and you never owe anyone a reason. You are not required to disclose your legal name, location, workplace or personal contact details to a user, and we will not disclose them either. If a user threatens you, contact safety@amigify.com — and your local emergency service first if the threat is immediate.
9. Confidentiality and intellectual property
Conversation content, user information and anything non-public you learn through the role stay confidential, during and after this agreement. The Amigify name, apps, training material and brand remain ours; you may not use them to advertise yourself or a competing service.
10. Ending the relationship
- You can leave at any time, by deleting your companion account in the app or by emailing companions@amigify.com.
- We can end it with notice, or immediately for a serious breach, a safety risk, or a legal requirement.
- Balances still owed to you are paid out in the next cycle after you leave, subject to the minimums and to any open investigation. Balances below the minimum can be paid on request to payouts@amigify.com.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of this agreement is limited to the earnings credited to you in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Changes
We may update this agreement. Material changes are notified in the Companion app or by email before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to take conversations after that date means you accept the update.
13. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Karbi Anglong, Assam, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have where you live.
