The app is the source of truth for prices. Coin rates and pack prices are set in our admin console and can change. Before any payment the app shows you the pack price in your currency, and before any call it shows the coins-per-minute rate. The figures on this page are the rates in effect at the date above.
What is free
- Creating an account and completing your profile.
- Browsing companions and seeing who is online.
- Receiving messages, and everything a companion sends you.
- Blocking, reporting, and contacting support.
Amigo Coins
Amigo Coins are prepaid credit inside the app. You buy them in packs, the balance sits in your account, and it is spent as you use the service. Coins are not money: they have no cash value outside Amigify, they cannot be transferred between accounts, and users cannot exchange them back into currency.
What coins are spent on
- Messages you send — charged per message. The default rate is 1 coin per message, including a message that carries an image, audio clip, video or document.
- Audio calls — charged per started minute. The default rate is 5 coins per minute.
- Video calls — charged per started minute. The default rate is 5 coins per minute.
Call time is billed per started minute, so a call that runs 61 seconds costs two minutes. The app warns you when your balance is running low during a call, and the call ends when the balance runs out.
Buying coins
Coin packs are bought in the app. The pack sizes and their prices in INR are shown on the top-up screen at the moment you buy. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Razorpay, which supports cards, UPI, net banking and wallets; where an app store requires purchases to run through its own billing, Apple or Google process the payment instead and their terms apply as well. We never see or store your card details.
Hearts
Hearts are a separate, optional gift. They exist so that someone can say “that helped” with more than words. They are not required to use Amigify, and no conversation, call or feature is gated behind them.
How a user gets hearts
Hearts are bought in the app in the same place as coins, on their own tab. They are priced separately from coins and are purchased in packs. Buying a heart does not buy anything from a companion — it only puts the heart in your wallet.
How a companion receives hearts
- You send it. During a conversation you can send one or more hearts to the companion you are talking to. Sending is always your choice, and a companion asking you for hearts is a breach of our community guidelines that you should report.
- It appears in the conversation. The gift is logged as a message in the chat, so both sides have a record of it.
- It lands in the companion's heart balance. The heart moves out of your wallet and into theirs in a single transaction — there is no state in which it is debited from you and not credited to them. Both sides get a ledger entry they can see in their own history.
How a companion redeems hearts
A companion's heart balance is an earnings balance, not a score. Once it is above the minimum, they request a redemption from the Companion app and we pay the value out to their registered bank account along with their coin earnings.
- Redemption rate. Hearts are redeemed at a fixed rate per heart, currently ₹0.50. The rate a companion will be paid is shown in the Companion app.
- Minimum. A companion needs a balance of at least 10 hearts before they can request a heart redemption (and at least 100 coins to redeem a coin balance).
- Payout. Redeemed hearts are paid in the normal payout cycle described in the payout policy.
Hearts you have sent are gone: gifting is voluntary and final, and a heart already credited to a companion cannot be pulled back. See the refund policy for the exceptions that do apply to purchases.
What a companion earns
Companions are paid from two balances — coins earned from conversation and calls, and hearts they have been sent. Both are redeemed for INR at rates published in the Companion app and paid out to a bank account. The payout policy covers rates, minimums, timing and taxes; the companion agreement is the contract it sits under.
Subscriptions
There is no subscription. Amigify does not sell a recurring plan, nothing on your account renews automatically, and there is nothing to cancel. Every payment is a one-off purchase of coins or hearts that you initiate. If we ever introduce a recurring plan, this page and the terms will be updated before it goes on sale, and it will be opt-in.
Taxes and currency
Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include any applicable taxes unless the payment screen says otherwise. If you pay in another currency, your bank or the app store sets the conversion rate and may add a fee we do not control.
Changes to pricing
We can change coin rates, pack prices and heart rates. A change never applies retrospectively: coins you have already bought keep their value, and calls already billed are not re-priced. Rate changes that affect companion earnings are announced in the Companion app before they take effect.
